President Donald Trump signed an executive order changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

The executive order directs the Department of the Interior to update the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) to change Lake Ontario to “Lake America.” The name change only applies to the federal government, and Congress uses Lake Ontario as the name for the lake in several laws.
