Hey everyone!

The Tangle team is off today for Martin Luther King Jr. Day (we observe all bank holidays), so we’ll be back with our normal newsletter tomorrow. However, we wanted to share with you our latest interview for the YouTube channel and podcast, with author and do-everything thinker Sharon McMahon.

McMahon is the author of the new book The Small and the Mighty, which highlights twelve unsung American heroes who changed the course of history. She has also been referred to as "America's government teacher" for civic explainer content she shares with her over one million followers on Instagram under the handle @sharonsaysso.

We sat down briefly with McMahon on election night as results were rolling in, but invited her back to the show for a longer interview about her work — how she got started, her recent book, and what she hopes to do — as well as the stories she is keeping an eye on in 2025.

You can watch the full interview on YouTube below, or listen to it on our podcast here.

Otherwise, we hope you are all enjoying a nice long weekend, and we’ll see you tomorrow!

Best,
Isaac & the Tangle team
