Keeping up with the news can feel endlessly busy in a world that urges us (in ways both subtle and overt) to endlessly busy ourselves. For this week’s reader essay, reader Allison Rowe offers a different perspective, writing in praise of boredom, which she calls "the rich soil in which new ideas can take root." Her piece is beautiful and direct, and she is — amazingly — the second Vermont high schooler who has had an essay published in Tangle. You can read Allison’s full piece here.
