Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research for the daily newsletter.
- Compiling and summarizing commentary from across the political spectrum on the topic of the day.
- Assisting lead writers on research for deep-dive Friday editions.
- Sharing fun and engaging content from the web for our Sunday edition.
- Drafting sections of the newsletter.
- Authoring drafts of our “Have a nice day” and “Under the radar” sections.
- Contributing to other drafts of sections on a regular basis.
- Editing.
- Fact-checking all information in the newsletter and podcast to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
- Providing copy edits to ensure high-quality writing.
- Brainstorming and pitching Tangle guests.
- Supporting the editorial staff in identifying interview subjects for our YouTube and podcast audience.
- Coordinating guest bookings.
- Managing events and awards.
- Keeping the team organized and on deadline for award submissions and event opportunities.
