Reader essay.

Due to a scheduling error we do not have a reader essay this week. We’ll be back with another reader-submitted piece next week.

In lieu of a reader essay, we hope you enjoy this pre-Tangle Isaac Saul original piece on payday lenders, courtesy of the Internet Archive. Check it out here!

Have a local or personal story you want to write about? Pitch us! Fill out this form or reply to this email, and we’ll get back to you if we’re hooked.

Reader review.

On the issue covering the death of Iran President Ebrahim Raisi, a weeks-long saga in the comments section over a single commenter came to a head. Clive posted the following:

[Sir — ] subscribers, especially paid subscribers, support Tangle and Isaac because we want to read and think about balanced, constructive and well-reasoned insights. That is clearly not your bailiwick so please respect the audience here and take your platform and diatribes elsewhere.

Isaac, you talked recently about the need to improve engagement with the Tangle community outside of live events. Along with improving the technical functionality and UE of the comment section, it is imperative that you don’t allow lone wolves with a very clear agenda to infect the open-minded, balanced and constructive ethos of Tangle’s community.
