Hey everyone, and welcome to our second-ever edition of Press Pass, a monthly newsletter that pulls back the curtain on what’s going on behind the scenes at Tangle, gives you a chance to shape our future, and provides an inside look at the team delivering you the news each week. Just like our inaugural edition, today’s newsletter happens to coincide with a federal holiday (Happy Veterans Day and thank you to all who have served!). We plan to keep sending Press Pass on the second Tuesday of every month.
What we’ve been up to.
Live events are funny. The morning of, I always find myself saying, “I’m never doing this again.” And the morning after, I always find myself saying, “Let’s do that 100 more times, please!” Hosting events comes with so much stress (ticket sales, guests, logistics), and operating them feels decidedly outside my experience and comfort zone as a writer. Yet the reward of meeting our audience in real life — and the exhilaration of putting on a show in front of a live audience — always outweighs all of that. Our live event in Irvine, California, was no different, and it was easily the highlight of our last month.
